can i make the second push rod (non threaded one) out of galvanized steel rods from home depot cut to the right size and a metal bb from a pellet gun as the ball bearing? i have a new clutch accuator arm but still need new push rods

If you were on a trip and couldn't get parts, yeah. But this would only be a temporary fix at best. The rod and ball aren't polished or hardened. Plus you will (might) trash a clutch gasket. JMHO, your results may, and will, vary.

You can buy a 3/16" polished ball bearing from a hardware store to replace the ball. That's a tried and true replacement part and costs about $.75 to buy at a hardware store.

The rod, however, would be harder to replace without the correct yamaha part... You COULD source some 3/16" drill rod (hardened tool steel rod used to make tooling) and friction cut it to length, dimple both ends to center the ball bearing, and then polish the exposed ends.
