I bought a 94 blaster and it was a mess so I started tearing into it and the piston and rings where good, it has amazing compression, it’s getting fuel, getting spark, so i tried to bump start it and it ran then backfired so I thought it was the woodruff key so I take the flywheel cover off and the flywheel spins when I kick it over so it’s not the woodruff key but there is metal and oil around the flywheel?? What could this mean?

Need to have the right flywheel puller and remove the flywheel to inspect where the metal is coming from. And oil.check seal and bearing.
Back firing is an indication of a. Possible sheared key. Flywheel will turn and you will get spark but at the wrong time.
Gotta pull flywheel and inspect everything

It’s not the key I just pulled it apart and checked it
