Got a 98? Blaster. Sometimes when I shift into 1st it will pop back into neutral. If I rock it back and forth in 1st gear without the engine running it will do it too. On a short ride, and in 4th or 5th, and it started slipping/jerking as if it were in between gears, and not fully catching. Has only done that once, and not before or since.
Planning on pulling the cover, but don't know what to look for. I've read about a screw on the shift star coming loose, but I've never worked on, or diagnosed a trans before.
