float needle

I have went through 3 float needles now???!?
each one ends up deformed at the little rubber tip and I can't figure out why does anyone know because when it does this it doesn't hold gas and just floods the engine

Are you replacing just the needle, or the needle and seat as a combo?

I've replaced just the needle in 3 or 4 carbs with no ill results, never replaced a seat.
but there has to be a brass seat problem with this carb in question.

I'm only replacing the float needle because I can't seem to find the seat anywhere and I'm not really sure how to get it out even if I did get one
and I think my float height might be the problem because the way I had it wasn't moving enough and getting stuck open so I made the float height higher and it worked but the bike flooded out when I tried to ride it

The seat just pulls out, and has a o-ring around it. They come in the rebuild kits. I may have a good one laying around.
