So. i just got a 2000 blaster that the engine was painted orange at one point in time and now it is starting to chip and peel and just looks terrible, i was hoping to one of you lovely folks would have some advice on re painting the engine, or some other way to finish it and make it look good.

picture wise - later this day/tomorrow i will be posting a thread about the whole bike as i plan to do everything,
    engine overhaul
    frame powdercoat
    brakes
    grab bars
    heel guards
    nerf bars
    led conversion
repainted plastics -> don't worry i will be doing it proper, sand, prep, paint/epoxy, finish.

How involved do you want to get with prep work?
    Do you like the color?

Color is ok I guess, I’m willing to take the time and do it right though, I want it lasting long and looking good

Prep is key. IMO removing head and jug would be best. At least take engine out of frame. Clean with power washer or at least Dawn dish soap. Around exhaust might need wire brush and brake clean to start.
