The welds are fine. Its difficult to weld steel that thin, and extremely difficult to keep a steady hand when welding around a pipe.
Did he mig of tig weld it? In guessing tig.
DONT smooth the welds, you will lose weld strength.

Welds made on expansion chambers are usually top welds without much penetration so as the internal contours are not affected.

Do not smooth them off, you may break through.

Yeah bronco he tig welded them!! I'm not smoothing them out they look good enough for a pipe to me!! Not one pin hole in mine!! Fired it up n tinkered with jetting today and it's a good bit noticeably more pull and way more over rev then my ct pipe !! I had Ken cut me a head for 110 race fuel also so I'm sure it contributed also!! Well worth $450 to me!! Only thing is the ct pipe had more of louder pop at idle but I don't plan on idling a lot!! Screams every where else
