I was bored earlier so I decided to make up a case saver . Had some scrap steel and went to Lowe's and picked up some spacers and 6x50mm Phillips head bolt . Cost about $5.50 and 1.5 hours time

Verry cool man. Any possibility for a diy write up on how it was done?? :)

Thanks...it was pretty much a cut...grind and fit type of deal . The hardest part to make was the top part screwed to the case . It has a couple angles and took a bit to get it flush . I had a old 14 tooth sprocket put it on a sheet of paper and used a compass to make two 3/4 circles around the sprocket 3/4in. apart . just a bit bigger top and bottom . Traced it on the sheet metal (used 14 gauge)and cut it with a jig saw . Then used a bench grinder to fine tune it to fit . Top piece started at 1.5in. x 2in...grind to fit with a 6x50mm Phillips or hex head bolt . Top has a 1in. and 3/4in. spacers with two 1/4in. washers added . Used a 2 1/4in. long 1/4in. bolt and nut . Bottom spacer is 1/2 in. with a 6x25mm bolt .
