Bought a blaster with 18 inch turf savers on it, I end up in a little or a lot of mud sometimes and they aren't cutting it. Thought about jumping up to kenda bear claws at 22 inches but I'm a bit worried about spinning them don't really want to lose my lower end power, I'm not going for top speed at all honestly I just want to pop wheelies and zip around.

As you all know the 8 inch stock rims don't have a TON of tire selection but I do see some attractive looking 20x9.5-8 tires. Will they seat the bead or that's really too narrow?

The ones I'm looking at are obviously made for atvs but I also see a ton of super lug, tractor/ag style tires meant for lawn tractors, anyone play with those? Probably not the best for top speed and may not even do well in the mud just a thought.

I can’t speak on whether those tires will fit on those rims but My rear rims are Yamaha 8’s and I have 22x11-8’s on there. They spin just fine and it pops a wheelie no problem. Stock swing arm length and no mods

I am doing a full rebuild though and getting a +3 swing arm and getting banshee hubs. If you want a better selection it wouldn’t be a bad idea to go banshee setup at somepoint too. Fronts are universal on Yamaha and better selection for a full set of banshee rims and tires

Narrow tire=less traction. Might be hard time seating the bead. Turff savers are for lawn mowers.
I highly recommend getting Banshee, Warrior, Raptor, YFZ450 hubs so you can have a larger selection of tires.
I had 22" mud lites on warrior rims that I had to flip to get more clearance (unequal offset)
Only thing I didn't like about the mud lites is it was harder to slide sideways, had to really work at it.
