After some hard core jamming the blaster is up and running nice!
Back with the old cast piston that has been re-Ringed and honed. Running 150psi compression with the kor head and leak free. Fired right up 2nd kick.


Oh and for you blaaster ;)

 
looks good, glad to see you got it back together. damn shame you lost the full KOR power.

must have a real nice shop if you own all snap-on tools... my brother bought a couple tools from the snap on truck that comes by his work. its $100 every time
 
Alright there's a problem. It's slapping like crazy. It can't be the piston because it's got so much compression. But is it possible that the crank is slapping?
 
Could be the piston.

It is the fit of the rings into the cylinder bore that produces compression.

If the rings are sealing well there can be good compression even with a sloppy piston!

Did you measure the old cast piston for tolerances?

Yeah I made sure the clearances were still right after the hone and everything was good.
