Do they make such an animal?
doesn't have to be aluminum. just interested in getting rid of the plastic covers.
They were ONCE something made, if you come across one now you hit the lottery. TM desigbs every once in a while has oil side. Im working on colored plastic ones with slim designs, but your best bet is to make your own, lots of DIYs on different ones to make
Yeah thats what I thought. Thanks.
Hmmmm. I wonder. Would there be a market for oem style aluminum covers? I have access to a C.A.M.
The Kid who made my oil pump cover hasn't been on here in awhile. (KTM RACING 559). He cut it from a old Diamond plate truck toolbox.
If you do have access to the CAM machine, you should be able to whip one out!
Yeah I have seen the flush low profile ones. I dont like em. I like the looks of the oem design.
A dude I know does hydro dipping. When he gets the diamond plate looking film, he is supposed to do my stator cover. I'm going to be the guinea pig on this one.
If it works out, That could be a better looking, cheaper upgrade for you as well.
My neighbor who has done machine work on my go-kart is 82 yrs old. Been a machinist for 53 years. Is giving me the software his lathe and mill run on.
That's damn nice of him! Then this should be a good learning project for you.
Yeah he is awesome. if this works out I should be able to churn a few out.
