Have an airsal 240 cylinder on of the best cylinders out there. Bore is damaged and needs redone. Don't have the 240 head but a have a standard on that just needs cut. Pm me offers I'll ship anywhere

Arnt the airsal cylinders nikasil cylinders? It would have to be replated no matter what way you fix it

Yes, that cylinder will need welded to repair the gouge, rebored to size, and then
re-nikasealed.

I've it advertised for a friend and he's not really sure what it's worth.
Anyone any ideas of a asking price or what it's worth?

its going to cost close to $400 to fix. welding up all the gouges. slight bore to clean up, re plate and sized to the new piston. and that's not including the cost of the piston. I am going high side of cost by using my kx cylinder as a reference. so, I would not offer a whole lot for that cylinder.

Actually I have had Nikasil cylinders repaired and replated for less than $300 from the shop near Ayers Cliff Quebec. Their plating is superb, tougher than OEM.
