So I heard a buddy mention something about back in the day putting a air cooled atc 250r top end on a blaster has anyone else heard of doing this it seems like it would be a good idea and I would definitely try it If someone has some specs my only concern is wouldn't it throw the port timing out of wack and make it run worse

if this ever happened succesfully, or was a viable option, we would know about it on here.

there are 240 big bore cylinders available for our blasters from Vito's, Airsal and CT Racing,
but they're not from, or fit onto a stock 250r honda.

I know of a different scenario of the older Cr250 top end (Honda) going on to older Atc250r bottom ends (Honda).. Maybe that's what they meant? Another option other than what Awk posted, would be to do a Dt200 *watercooled* top end onto a Blaster bottom end :D. Or the whole motor completely. Stock Blaster 17hp Stock Dt200 37hp. There's allot of info on that swap if you want to know more about it..

The ATC250R 81-84 has a 70mm piston. A 240 blaster cylinder has a 72mm piston. So you will get more CC from a 240 cylinder!

Now the Honda ATC300 big bore kit gives you a 76mm piston on first bore then a 76.50mm, 77mm, 77.50mm.

If you wanted to you could get a blaster base gasket and a ATC250R base gasket, and see how close they are to each other.

Also very common back inday conveesion was atc350r top end direct fit to a trx250r powrell or someone sold it as an add on for the 250r, swapped harness and exhaust, exhaust had both pipes with a welded 2" extension to clear frame

A Honda atc350r?? I dont remember that? I do remember a atc350x four stroke.

Honda did make a fl350r Odyssey, and a fl400r Pilot. Are you talking about putting one of those cylinder on a trx250r?

Or are you talking about putting a atc350x cylinder on a trx250x or trx300ex?

my mistake was (and in my defence I was half asleep on my cell in bed) it wasn't the top end it THE WHOLE ENGINE, the "X" to "X" swap

I mean a 1992 trx250x (only wont with trx250ex) with a trike 1986 atc350x engine, exhaust, and harness
requires on engine mount grinded down or cut down
direct fit, very common in early 90's

37hp!! BS, The 3ET is only 30-32! And the 37f 25-30! The 4AN is close to 30, and I'm not guessing either I own a Dt200l bike, a 3ET and a Blaster with a complete Dt200l engine

DT20O 37hp? BS, the 37f or 4AN is 25hp roughly and the 3ET 200r 33hp give or take, my ported Dt200 with s 35pwk and a synopprt is around 35, maybe
