After market stators how to time

I bought a statore that has slots for timing. It has 0 to 10 + and - markings on it so should 0 be at the cwnter of the bolt slots so you can move it posative or negative

should be a hash mark to align zero ?
but yes if it has + and - marks, 0 should be in the middle

Wanted to update this the after market staters 0 is all way counter clockwise as usual then move it clockwise to advance it thanks
