AC racing skid plate

Just got one, but it won't fit without removing the chain slide on the swingarm. I'm not sure how I feel about that. It does have a nylon plate the runs the length of it in place of the guide. How do you guys feel about it?

flip the chain guide around so the long end faces forward, i've had to do that on every aftermarket skidplate i've used....i mean abused
