2004 Yamaha Blaster No longer starts on first kick

I have been able to sit on seat and start bike with out choke with one kick and I have the tors deleted or the CDI tricked. So I went and installed a twist throttle and now I’m unable to start blaster with one kick and I have to use choke now to start it. Need help on why the twist throttle and carb cap changed messed it up from starting with one kick.

dID YOU INSTALL THE IDLE SCREW ON LEFT SIDE OF CARB ? Throttle slide is probably sitting lower than before.

i Used the adjustment on top of carb cap and at end of twist throttle to adjust the idle once it starts it idles perfect but is no longer a one kick wonder I’m going to install the thumb throttle back on it with the tors cap and see if it starts again with one kick without using choke.

Well, having to use the choke isn't the end of the world.
Check that the rubber gasket under cap is good and installed correctly.
