Just got a 2000 blaster just wanted some advice on need to know things.best fuel mix and oil. Things I need to consider.

Couple questions first. Oil injection or pre mix ? Any modifications to engine, exhaust, or intake?? Oil is like women, every one likes something different. I prefer a bean oil 28:1. Haven't really heard either way as to Amsoil, though I'm Leary of 50 or 100:1
Just don't use weedwacker, chain saw, or outboard motor oil. Quality doesn't cost, it pays.
You'll get a hundred different answers, and just as many when you ask about trying oil, which should be changed seeing it's new to you.
Clean air filter, install new plug.
Personally I run a 32:1 ratio. (1 gallon of fuel to 4 ounces of oil) and I’m sorry Larry, I use weedwacker engine oil

As a diesel mechanic, you don't put cheap non-detergent in an engine do you? No, you use high detergent diesel oil.
At least you're not trying to use motor oil for mix.

I have belray mc1 the guy at the local shop says mix it 2 oz per gallon of gas is this ok or correct?
