03 raptor 660

hey guys my buddy has an 03 raptor 660 that ran good but was a little choppy in 4th gear and up...so we did a carb rebuild kit on it set float heights correctly but the bike still won’t rev, its doing the exact same thing the TORS system does on the blasters bogs, backfires, and stalls on full throttle he has done the reverse bypass and the parking brake isn’t stuck...any ideas on why it won’t rev up?

Did this happen suddenly or started slow and got worse ?
If yes, try adjusting the valves.
Might also try richening idle screw.

Did he change ANYTHING then this problem?

The chopping in 4th gear was happening for some time and he decided to do the rebuild kit..once the carbs were back in the bike it wouldn’t run after that it had the bogging issue we tried everything , even brought it to a shop and they couldn’t get it running right either nothing besides a carb rebuild and new spark plug was done on the bike , and before we did this the bike ran fine besides the 4th gear issue

Was the rebuild kit a Genuine part, or cheap eBay junk?
They are well known for having inaccurate sizing on Jets , and probably every other part.

Was the original stumble only in 4th? Or 4-5-6th?

Go back to square one and go back through the carbs. Double/triple check every thing. Float level, etc. The carb work is where the problem started, trying to fix a smaller one.
