    I have the blaster running since I have the tether kill hooked up. I just thought someone might have found one at a lawnmower dealer? I have lost lawnmower keys before and most models like craftsman are the same and you can get them at Sears.

    i have a 88 blaster and I am trying to keep it all original with exception of a tether kill switch that I added. Where can I find an ignition key. I lost it a couple of days ago! The part dealers want to sell you the whole ignition switch.

    From a dealer they are about $3 each. Make sure you use some threadlock medium strength on flywheel nut. I've learned from a lot of experience!! I have tried to find elsewhere with no luck, I believe they are 3mm

    I am installing a new clutch OEM. There is 7 friction plates incl. the friction plate 2. There is 6 clutch plates. The clymer manual calls for & shows each clutch plate to be 60 degrres off from each other, therefore no plate overlaps, but it shows every other tab on the clutch plate lining up...

    Only idles cold

    The best thing to do is go under engine in the forum. It has great articles on plug chop,carb tuning,etc...... I use some or all of this information from time to time. Give it a shot. I think will help!

    The best chains are either o-ring or x-ring. X-ring are more expensive. To my understanding the x-rings seals are almost like bearings (but not exactly) & they claim they have less drag?     13/40 to a 14/40 .

    I am thinking about getting a 14 front since it is so easy to change, and see how much difference it will make in my lower end with the 42 tooth rear. I have noticed lately since weather changed I get high rpm's quick! Let everybody know.

    Right, but as in his picture no one is holding the clutch mechanism forward without doing that it is impossible to see if it aligns up. If it is correct either the clutch cable or the friction disk are excessively worn.

    You need to check clutch mechanism. Give all the slack you can with cable. Have somone push clutch mechanism towards front as far as they can. From right side see if the pointer on clutch mechanism lines up with pointer on crankcase. If off pull right crankcase cover and adjust until they line...
