Is your crank bad? Or does it not even have one lol? But with lots of engine parts I try to go with oem if possible. And yes a leak down is essential.

Your build sounds much like mine I just did on my 99. I went z400 rear shock and yfz450 fronts. Much better than stock without braking the bank. I would have went Elka or similar but for the price I couldn’t pass on the yfz fronts. They are going to get setup by my local racetech suspension...
