New reeds but nothing fancy. Air box lid is still on. Where is a good place to get jets from. I looked for blaster jets and none that I see match what I have. And its still has the orginal carb. with mods.

I ran the blaster today. Had to put a smaller pilot jet in the carb. Because I could back the air mixture screw all the way out and it still ran. The I had to drop the needle pin one notch. To get it to responded right at 1/4 to 3/4 throttle. Will hopefully do the main jet tomorrow and maybe...

Retouqed them this morning All good so far

I did the leak down test today. Pressured the engine to 7lbs. And it lost 1/2 a lb in 7 minutes. So I would say that's a successful engine build. Reinstalled the engine back on the blaster and did a heat cycle. Thanks for all the help guys I appreciate it.

When I do the leak down test on the engine does it matter if the piston is in the tdc or bdc position.

What is the difference between the stock needle compared to the one that was sent with the kit. Other than the new one is blue.

The largest main jet is 340 that came with the big bore. Should I start with that or smaller jet size

The needle bearing on the cranks is good. When I bought the 240 kit it came with jets and a needle for the carb

I also ordered vitos reeds

So this is the reason why I'm rebuilding this engine. The needle bearing for the wrist pin broke while running and the cylinder and piston scored bad. So when I ordered the big bore kit i also ordered new cam bearings and seals. Then i asked about the exhausts and was told i should upgrade...

I beleive everything is stock

I ordered this kit for my blaster should be here next week sometime. I'm just wondering can I use my old reed valve, and exhaust system.
