    Custom Digitron gauge install

How much cash does one of those usually run? Looks pretty cool. I assume it's waterproof so it doesn't get trashed the first time it gets wet?

    private track?

We used to have one sort of like you're describing. It was a couple miles of trails away, way back in a heavily wooded area in the middle of nowhere. Nobody knows who built it, even the land owner didn't know it existed until we asked for permission to ride it. He was cool about it and gave...

anyone no how to make a cold air intake?

You're going to need to start out with an adapter to connect round pipe to the square inlet on the MAF sensor. You can either get one of these on ebay, or go to pep boys if you have one near you. It's pretty much a universal adapter for vehicles that have the old style gate maf sensor. Late...

    fuel injected blaster-must see!

Those are just dyno ratings though, dyno speeds are just crude estimates. They don't really calculate in wind resistance, rider weight, the weight of the machine, or anything like that. It's just the theoretical speed that could be achieved with that gearing if the engine had enough grunt to...

    BANSHEEVSRAPTOR660VSDS650

jeez, you guys just don't know what's good in the trails. 450's definitely weren't designed for trail riding, and neither were the quadracer and quadzilla. Quadzilla and quadracer were designed to be a grenade on wheels I think, that's really all they do, blow up.

    overheating?

It's all relative. The phrase "getting hot" doesn't mean a whole lot to me unless i'm actually there to see it happen. Hondas run hot to begin with, and he didn't mention that the high temp light came on, so i'm assuming that it didn't truly overheat. If it did in fact shut off from...

    A-Arm Bearings?

Then you just need new bushings. The best way to go is to get one of the kits on ebay like this one: eBay Motors: 12 ASR Banshee, Blaster, YFZ450 Delron A-Arm Bushings (item 360054980110 end time Jun-01-08 19:33:53 PDT) The ASR bushings are very good quality and a heck of a lot cheaper...

What kind of throttle do you have?

The issue for me with twist, is that when you turn the handlebars sharp the natural movement is for your wrists to twist and I can't keep steady throttle when doing it. I never had a problem with thumb so i'll stick with that.

What kind of throttle do you have?

I can't stand twist throttle on quads. It's fine on bikes, but you're not turning the bars nearly as sharp as you do on quads, at least in the trails. The first time I rode a quad with a twist throttle in the trails it resulted in a 440ex doing a 2nd gear wheelie over a berm into a tree, and...

    BANSHEEVSRAPTOR660VSDS650

All those quads listed have hydraulic brakes, always have. The blaster was the only sport quad yamaha used cable brakes for, and that was because they were trying to keep it as low-budget as possible. I'd rule out the raptor 350 if you want to actually upgrade. The suspension may be a hair...

    front end issue

If it's a bent a-arm your best bet is to just get a used one from a local shop or on ebay. Probably run you $20-50 that way. You're looking at over $300 for a set of low end aftermarket arms, and with aftermarket arms new shocks are a necessity because of the extra leverage on them. I'd guess...

    overheating?

Nothing yet has proven that it overheated, just that it shut off. A bad gas cap can cause vapor lock (air not getting into the tank) which will eventually cut off fuel flow.

    blaster with yz85 engine?

So... what would be the purpose of putting a smaller, weaker engine in a machine? I'm not getting the point of this at all. It's like buying a car with a v8, and then tearing that out and putting a lawnmower engine in it... 85's are slow enough in a little dirtbike frame, i don't see how they...

    front end issue

I don't know what could be wrong with the shock to cause that though, unless it was bent or something. If it was just a blown seal it wouldn't affect the way the machine sits, as the spring is the only part that supports weight when the machine is at rest.

    overheating?

Does it have a temperature light on the dash? Unless that light comes on when it shuts off, I doubt it's overheating. I think it's more likely something related to vapor lock from a bad gas cap, or something like that.

    A-Arm Bearings?

Ok, where exactly is the movement at? There's a lot of places the movement can be coming from. It could be at the pivot where the a-arm meets the frame, it can be in the ball joints, it can be bad wheel bearings, or a combination of those. Nobody can really tell you anything for sure until...
  17. YamaRider

    front end issue

Most likely it's either a tweaked frame or a-arm. You could switch shocks from side to side and see if it reverses the problem to the other side, but most likely something is bent or twisted, not the shock.

f*ckin sellin the piece of sh*t blaster

Let's say... ummm... blaster ADDICTS. I'm addicted to anything that burns fuel, not the greatest addiction these days.

f*ckin sellin the piece of sh*t blaster

It happens with any quad. I dumped thousands into my warrior when I had that, and in the first month of owning my raptor I had spent $1,000 on aftermarket stuff on it. There's a bunch more I still want, but i'm holding myself back. It's an addiction, kinda like crack. Not so bad on the...

f*ckin sellin the piece of sh*t blaster

If you were having trouble from running lean, which is what seems like the case, you can't blame the blaster for that. Running lean is one of the worst things you can do to a 2 stroke, especially during the break-in period. I bet if you get it jetted right, rebuild it right with new, quality...
