shock covers, are they worth it? I have a nice, mint set of works shocks that I'll be t ail riding on. If I could try to not destroy them that would be great. But only going to get covers if actually worth it. Any reviews from people that use them?

I'm relatively new with 2 stroke machines. I plan to add led light bar. I have purchased a reg/rec but everything I have read says " float the ground " . I don't know what that means. I'm sure I could guess but I'd rather just be sure. Any insight? Or a step by step ?
