Why would blaster rev out of control

The key and switch require a ground to short out the ignition, so they can be disconnected and the machine will still run, not like a conventional electrical system where the key, or kill switch break ground to open the circuit. At least this is how I remember it when I installed the kill...

    Rarest Yamaha Blaster Colour Scheme

My blaster is Canadian, and my banshee also has the mounts for reflectors, but they are all busted off. As far as a brake light, no mine does not have a brake light, although one of our trail systems requires a functional brake light, so I might have to look into rigging one up.

    Thumb throttle vs twist throttle???

I run the thumb throttle on my blaster, and a twist throttle on my banshee, and I like them both, and I run tight woods trails on both machines. From my experience, and listening to other riders, and letting them try my machines, if you have to ask weather or not a twist throttle is right for...

    DIY Cylinder DeGlazing? (Honing)

The Banshee that my wife bought me for our anniversary had an emery cloth hone job done to it, sadly enough, the compression dropped to sub-90 psi in about 3 tanks of fuel. The pistons and rings were absolutely trashed, thankfully though, the cylinders were still good, with a proper honing and...

    Axcaliber axel

I put an axcaliber axle on my banshee this summer as the stock one was bent, I haven't done much in the way of jumping or hard use on it, but the fit and finish is excellent. It also looks like it should be stronger as it doesn't taper down as much and it is very easy to change the width. I...

    Stuck sprocket hub

I went through the the effort of pb blaster, heat, and a press, in the end, the arms that the sprocket bolt to all got bent. So I had to get a new hub. When I started rebuilding the rear axle on the Banshee my wife bought me, I just cut the hub off to start with. After I got it off and inspected...

    Rear caliper rebuild??

Have you downloaded the service manual? It gives a decent step by step guide, as well as tolerances for wear. It can be found as the first sticky thread under general support.

    Hole starting in Blaster piston

#260 main I think I still need to pull a bit longer, I also think I could go up one or two more jets. Ambient temperature is down to 48 today instead of 75 for my last chop.
