    Fresh rebuild issues…

    Start with a 300 genuine mikuni main jet . Needle in the middle . Air screw 1.5 out . Make sure the washer is under the main jet . It will run like sh*t without the washer under the main . Make sure the float height is good also

    I would throw that carb in the garbage and atleast get a real stock carb . Good luck jetting that chinese crap . Start with a 280 genuine mikuni main jet and air screw at 1.5 out on the stock carb.

    I cut the brake mount of the blaster peg and welded it to the yfz foot peg . Yfz foot pegs are bolted to the factory foot peg holes . You need to enlarge the holes on the yfz foot pegs and get longer bolts

    Carb options?

    Make sure you have the idle screw boss on the carb filed flat almost to the carb. body . Put a drop of lock tite on the locking nut if it keeps coming loose . Or you can upgrade to 28mm. PWK carb. You can get them usually pretty cheap off the 85cc dirt bikes . YOU will need to get a JJH needle...

    Fmf pipe leaks

    Clean really well and copper rtv..let it dry for 2 days before you start it . Use about a half a tube around the flange and pipe . It looks like crap but does the job . Or you can scribe a couple lines take it apart and have it welded

    I have a JJH needle in my 28mm pwk . Bought the needle from carb. parts warehouse .The clip is on the 2nd. notch from the top . FmF pipe...toomey muffler...open air box with fully ported and head rechamber from Ken . 150-155 main and 45-50 pilot depending on weather .

    Maybe something rubbing off the kick starter assembly . Check the parts for wear marks

    Intermittent starting

    I would start with cleaning your carb. and set the float height . Make sure the needle seat valve is not leaking flooding the carb ...rubber will have a groove wore in it if bad .
