    Unless the fuel filter is clogged I doubt its causing a problem. Is the carb getting fuel? Spark? Good compression? Maybe one of the jets is clogged. The reeds will seal under pressure in the crankcase when its runnimg so a really small gap usually isnt an issue.

    I believe the manual you can download on this forum gives you a detailed description on how to test the wires and what readings you should be getting.

    Do you have the multimeter set to ohms? If you arent getting a reading that should be a dead giveaway something is up. You may just have a broken wire as I did.

    Have you tested the 5 wires coming off the stator? I lost spark with mine and found a short with a multimeter.

    I always check main bearings by pulling on the flywheel. There shouldnt be any play. To check the rod for play youll need to pull the top end off and piston. Its ok for the rod to have side to side, but any up and down is bad. Sometimes up and down play can be very minimal and hard to feel so...

    Official Blaster Photos Thread

    Nothing special, just a stock 2003 Blaster. Got it last year around this time to ride in the snow. Plastic is a little ugly, but is mechanically sound. Everything that was worn out was replaced. Motor is fresh, less than 30 mins on wiseco crank and piston.

    I'm going back to the yamaha "auto lube" oil injection! Why? Because it works!!!

    I love the oil injection system on my blaster. I got my blaster primarily for winter riding on the roads in a snow emergency, and its nice being able to fill up at the gas station when Im far away from home. I have a zuma that I ride the living crap out of and the oil pump has never let me down...
