Finally got my Blaster started......after about 5 million kicks....so to start off...there is no idle...like at all..I've turned different knobs and all and nothin able to keep idling...and how do I get to do less kick starting and more riding?? It takes a long time to kick start..and how would...

Now I had at first fired it up with a mixed fuel with no oil in the tankle at the back...could this have maybe caused my blaster to not idle?

How much transmission oil to add for the Blaster and how to just pre mix the oil and gas and run it straight through the tank...how do I just cut off that line?

Yeah this engine when I bought it was messed up pretty bad. Rusted to hell. The kickstart would only kick half way down. I then took it to a shop they freed it up and got it loose. I bought a new spring for the kick start and just bought a new bottom and top end so just waitin on those parts...

Yeah I feel pretty confident about rebuilding the top end after watching a lot of videos on it. I figured I would rebuild top and bottom to hopefully just get this thing back up and running with new components. The last person just tore this thing to pieces

Kept kicking it....nothin....and then after I had towed it every time I could get it to run it would completely die every time I would come to a stop....carb looks good. Ok..Thank you Blaaster..yeah I've just decided to wait it out. I've just pieced everything together so that all I need to do is throw that oil pump on there and go!

Ok. Appreciate the info..I was just getting too anxious to start this thing up cause its the last thing I need to hopefully get this thing started. This shop had lost my oil pump and now they're taking like a week and a half to get this part...and all next 2 weeks I'm gonna be busy with work and...

I was wondering if I could run my 2001 Yamaha Blaster without the oil pump...just for now...until the shop that lost my original oil pump gets it in the mail for me. For instance can I just plug off that line and just mix the fuel myself??

I'm currently looking on COMPLETE gasket kits...which one is a good kit to buy..I'm looking for a kit that has a top end, bottom end, crank case, everything for the engine. Every kit I've looked at doesn't look the same as the others, so which one is good for a stock engine.
