Which premix oil to use lol.READ

so I believe me slydog and awk were talking about different oils to use. I said I'd try a weedeater oil. So I had some john deere branded premix oil that I have been running in an lt80 for 5 weeks now. I believe the oil is made by echo because it's from the time that echo made john deere...

    Vitos or La Sleeve?

If your crank is still good it would be cheaper to get it ported and the head rechamber. Add the reeds and exhaust and it will be a completely different bike. Iirc there was someone on here that that was pushing 30hp without a big bore or a stroker

    Blaster Top End Job Questions

Cracked cases will be obvious from the metal pieces of the skirt getting jammed in between the crank. The crank itself make sure the big end of the rod does not have any up and down play. Pull the crank to tdc and hold it push and pull on the rod. If there feels like there is any play then it...

    Blaster Top End Job Questions

A broken skirt is usually caused by piston slap from a worn piston and to much clearance. It seems this is what has happened in you're case. 1. Make sure you check you're crank and cases. Broken skirt often takes the crank and or cases with it. 2. The jug needs to be measured to figure out...

I just picked my childhood best friend for $900 SCORE...BUT...

Delete the oil injection. Run premix you can run a different oil and keep the injection system but I always prefer to remove it. Make sure to inspect the crank good. A broken skirt often comes with a damaged crank and or cases. The pieces of metal get bound up down there. I assume since...

intersting theory on 2 stroke oils

Cant imagine 1 day wiping out a top end. Although I wouldn't mix 50 to 1. I was comparing prices the stihl oil is just about as much as what I get castor 927 for. I have used that for a long time and only use something else when I cant get any

intersting theory on 2 stroke oils

True. I wonder what makes the stihl oil so good. I used to work at a john deere dealership and can vouch for the extended warranty if you by there oil. I have even left my chainsaw sitting all winter and pull it out it fires right up All I ever heard was they have a proprietary blend bla bla...

Hmm I have always used castor 927. Breakin regularly use never had any problems. I was using yamalube but found the castor cheaper and just went with it. Heck I used it in my yz125 that i raced nationals on and in my long rod cr 125 that i raced locals with. Not saying the info isn't true...

Went to rechamber my head and found disappointment

What do you think about the measurements. Diameter is 67.80 at the biggest measurement. How about this piston https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07CLJ1BDY/?tag=jyj356j5-20 Says it 67.92. And my cylinder isn't out of round or scored up. I could have the cylinder matched to that piston and be good...

Went to rechamber my head and found disappointment

So I measured the piston and cylinder It is as follows. The piston measures 67.70 at the skirt. The crown measures 67.55. The cylinder is 67.77 and 67.78 at the top. The cylinder at the bottom is 67.79 and 67.80 The two cylinder numbers are measured for roundness. Its within .01 mm. So the...
