    String Trimmer Rebuild

First, The cylinders are horribly expensive. Found them at around $80, so a complete rebuild would be in the $125 range. But, that wasn't the problem. Found bad bearings in the "case gear". Was putting new line on it and found it hot when I touched it. Looked at the parts diagram, used 6900 and...

    String Trimmer Rebuild

I have an Echo SRM-2100 trimmer and yesterday while using it I got to thinking it just doesn't have the power it used to. It's well maintained, freshly serviced and properly adjusted but has some use on it. I think I've had it near 10 years and got it used from a friend. With the amount of use I...

Just bought a 2004 blaster with the 240cc kit

I was looking a CL the other night and saw 4 straight listings for Blaster's with BBK's and all 4 were .040" over, not BBK's.

LT450R Nerf Bars for my Blaster

Instead of waiting for us (at work) to be sent for laser cutting I decided just to machine the parts. The plan was to get everything ready for welding (I've got a couple other things going on too) and finish it up at the plant Saturday morning. Everything was going great, had finished up the...

How Do I Clean Ceramic Coated Pipe?

I've known people to start out on polishing the ceramic with low pressure bead blasting. I was just confirming that the directions call for the use of abrasives on the ceramic.

How Do I Clean Ceramic Coated Pipe?

The liquid ceramic chrome coating can be polished. Here's a link to it, in the instructions it says "Only on the chrome do you need to polish after fully cured. This is how you achieve the reflective chrome appearance. Use fine steel wool or 600 grit wet/dry sandpaper. A final polish with a...

    My Baby's 4 Sale Again :(

I've seen many Blasters that were priced up there in the $2K-$3K range, this is one of 3 or 4 that I would consider shelling out the big bucks for. If it's been taken care of the way it was when you had it I wouldn't hesitate to make a reasonable offer or even pay the asking price. Speedy, that...

great now i need URGENT help...

Isn't there suppose to be a vent tube on that nipple sticking up from the cases? If you over fill the crankcase it will blow oil out there.

LT450R Nerf Bars for my Blaster

Wifesblaster, no misunderstanding, I agree with what you were saying. I wouldn't have spent 50% or more building something that I could buy and bolt on. I do like the style of the Bling Star's that I'm using, the way they turn up in the back. I think I'll like what I'm building better than all...

LT450R Nerf Bars for my Blaster

Doing it for a combination of reasons; these are basically free, the laser burning is the only part I would be paying for, like $.18 per inch plus material, probably about $8. The rest I'll do at work. My stock right side peg is bent pretty bad, this covers that repair with better designed pegs...

LT450R Nerf Bars for my Blaster

The only Nerf bars I really like are the XRF Pro Pegs from eBay but at near $300 are pricey. I didn't want to pay $100-$150 for ones that I didn't really like and couldn't make myself let go of $300 for the ones I do like but need Nerf bars, so I thought I give a try at modding a set that are...

    First Ride

I expect the 330 is safe to start plug chopping, ran a 280 with the air box lid off, DG exhaust on the stock engine. I would expect the port work to need 3 to 4 sizes up. I'd much rather foul a plug from being too rich than what happens running too lean.

    First Ride

Wifesblaster, back to back the DG pulled better than the FMF on the oem stock engine (tried them back to back one day). It's still early and I've not pushed the engine, the DG not handling the increased flow is just what I expect. Guess I'll go with a bigger carb and more suitable exhaust for...

    First Ride

Cool thing was that even after being apart for a year and is basically a new engine, it started on the first kick. Got to love the oil burners!

    First Ride

After at least a year I had mine out for some breaking in today. Just rode some around the house, first time it's been started and I'm following KOR break in routine......so no performance reports yet. This is the engine from the all stock first bore 01 I bought first, with a KOR topend (ported...
