A few folks liked the slow motion video I posted earlier this week. Here is a follow up video with regular-speed footage from our ride, also taken with the iPhone 5S. What a wonderful place to ride my Blaster!
Hey, thanks guys! The video was taken using a iPhone 5S in "slow-mo" video mode, and then I just plugged and played on the no-frills video editor on my computer. And YES, I encourage you to come check out the dune riding at Little Sahara Recreation Area in Utah. I love it, and I will go back as...
Funny how the 400ex sounds like a helicopter. Saturday was a great day to ride! We stayed in the white sands area and had a blast. Click on the link above to see the video.
Thanks guys! The blaster does well on gas, I think...? When I rode down at Little Sahara I burned through 3/4 tank in about 4.5 hours riding hard in the dunes. On this Strawberry Peak ride I burned half a tank during the whole ride, but riding the trails in the mountains and crawling over rocks...
The past weekend my buddy Shawn and I took a ride up from the end of Hobble Creek Canyon, left fork, up trail 132, then onto trail 135, to the top of Strawberry Peak. It was a gorgeous ride, and very challenging at times with lots of rocks/climbs. We made it to the top! If you look closely and...
Funny, that's the reaction I get from my wife too. I'm also so excited about stuff, gun stuff, quad stuff, mountain biking stuff, I go show it to her in genuine excitement and she rolls her eyes and laughs. :) Good to know they're mostly all alike.
Wow, gorgeous picture! Those are some green woods bummer981. It does well in the loose sand, but when you're riding with a guy on a TRX450R you quickly realize you are outgunned. Luckily my buddy is cool, and we both are more in it for the joy ride and exploring, so he wasn't running off as fast...
That's what I keep hearing! I'm a little curious to see how long it will last me in stock form. I'm thinking once I have to rebuild, I'll commence the modding.
First, I'm a little bugged by your profile pic. There are quite a few guys out here who are perfectly satisfied seeing only our wives naked. Plus, if my wife saw that she'd probably wish I didn't use the blasterforum. My two cents.
I paid $900 for this original '91 Blaster from the original...
Hello friends,
I'm new-ish to this forum and I'm finally figuring it out and planning to visit more often. In July I purchased an original 1991 Yamaha Blaster from the original owner - a gal who got it for Christmas when she was 16. I have been riding it lots and LOVING it. My appreciation...
If you like riding in the dunes, and you haven't come to Little Sahara Recreation Area in Utah. I highly recommend it. Lots of sand, lots of dunes, tons of variety, and some BIG climbs.
