Well I am hopefully going to do a couple hare scrambles this year. Never raced before but I've been riding quads about 2 years and grew up on bikes. Anyone here run hare scrambles/enduros? What do I need to do prior to the race? I need to order some hand guards.

I just got done rebuilding my quad with a trail port from KOR and toomey exhaust. No airbox lid with stock carb. I ride mostly trails, both tight and more open, what would good sprocket sizing be? 14/40? The stock gearing feels good but it seems like I'm always shifting.
