My sons KX65, we recently sold his crf50, reseaon for his red gear.

Ditto that, bought a NAPA mechanical tester it sucks, threads go way to deep.

If the engine was running reverse rotation it wouldn't be smoking from the exhaust it would be smoking from the carb, and running on oil from the tail pipe. Right?

and ours have twist throttles, can a thumb throttle be "locked" to only open so much?

That was a thought I had. I'm still new to Blasters myself, can they be detuned? Meaning can the throttle be adjusted to only open 1/2 throttle or would I be chancing the cable falling off track? I could pull some timing out of it that would kill a lot of torque.

What would be a good starter quad? What should I look for? I'd like to buy him a newer Raptor, yes the small one lol, wife thinks not. I'd prefer Yamaha but I'm open. Even considered a jap quad thinking he'd out grow it in a year but they have no resale value. Electric start a must, 2 stroke...
