    Adding extra oil the the fuel creates more heat as the fuel quantity in the mix becomes less. Was the oil pump bled of all the air before the engine was started..

    There is quite a fair amount of residual oil in the crankcase, and bearing in mind that on over run some mix is delivered by the idle circuit, if one blips the throttle occasionally it should be fine...

    Take the exhaust pipe off and look up the poet for signs of piston damage . You may need to set the float level and clean the needle and seat to stop the carb flooding.

    You have an air leak somewhere.... An air leak will make a way too lean a mixture, cause the electrodes of the plug to glow red hot. You do not need a spark then the red hot plug ignites the mixture....

    You need to cap off the oil nipple on the carb Idle adjusting. Set float level, make sure that all jets are clean and fuel flows freely from the float bowl drain when the screw is cracked open. Start with air screw 1.5 turns out. Warm up motor and then set idle screw for a faster idle, 2000rpm+...

    The stock servings are 230 main, 32.5 pilot and needle in middle clip. Idle should be set to specificarions. If you are pre mixing you may need to use a 240 main, but plug chop to confirm. Float level is 20-21.5 mm

    One cannot adjust the idle by sound or riding, the size of the pilot is determined by the position of the airscrew when setting the idle to the specifications that Awk directed you to...
