    Motor keeps bogging and dying.

Question....did you buy a new piston and have the cylinder honed to the piston, or did you buy the same same piston and have it honed without the piston....

    Motor keeps bogging and dying.

Leak down test, heat cycles, re-torquing, the break in are some of the most important things you can do with a fresh rebuild... Looks like you only did 1/4 of the items... Leak down test...HAS to be done. You HAVE to know if you have an air leak, air leaks cause lean conditions which can and...

Blaster kills itself when putting it into gear!?

Sounds to me that the clutch was not properly adjusted when it was installed. Look on here how to adjust a new clutch. the symptom you are explaing makes it sound like even though you are pulling the clutch lever, the clutch isnt disengaging. may be wrong though

Tires that’ll fit rear blaster rims?

Just looked back at my build log, looks like I used warrior hubs. They are the same spline, but the bolt pattern is different, which is a good thing. The blasters bolt pattern is not a very common one. But the warrior/banshee hubs are an extremely common bolt pattern. This lets you get rims of...

Tires that’ll fit rear blaster rims?

I think if you change the hubs to yfz ones, you open yourself up to tons more options. Plus, the YFZ hubs shouldgive you a inch or so in extra width!

    Engine seized twice

has anyone told you 2 stroke motors in general dont like 2 miles worth of WOT??? Your piston is melted! Things got way to hot, your jets are off. From what I have read, 2 strokes get leaner and leaner the higher RPMS you give it, go if you bike is running lean to start with, then you tape the...

Shift fork and shift cam assembly.

Also if I remember correctly, i waited until the forks were inside of the shift drum before putting in the rods in. These are the steps I took if my memory serves me... take the gears and mesh them correctly outside of the case place gears in case place forks into correct locations on the...

Shift fork and shift cam assembly.

When I put these back together, i always stick the forks in the correct slots first, then slide the shafts in the forks. You need to grease it up man! thing looks dry as a bone!!!this is a messy part because the oil helps everything mesh!

    Headlight upgrade

Like larry said, need to make the bike output DC instead of AC. Only way to do this is take the ground wire off of the stator, extend it up to a regulator / rectifier. Trailtech has a good option for that and a small battery. Check out this thread, one of the better in depth how to's i would...

Engine revs when bike sitting in neutral

High RPMS can be attributed to many things. But seeing as you just installed a pt and then ripped the gasket, my bet would be on an air leak at the reed cage, causing the RPM's to go high even at idle. Replace the gasket and do not over tighten the reed cage bolts! Over tightening will cause...
