    Disaster blaster fix

@Larry's Shee that is correct that they do advance exhaust timing but in reality the power you gain for the price of one really doesn’t make it worth the extra price. In comparison to actually raising the exhaust port it doesn’t really compare because you are loosing a bit of compression when at...

    Disaster blaster fix

Don’t be terrified, if you did your part and followed the service manual, you will be golden. That’s great that it’s almost done and we all get to know the outcome. I hope everything goes perfectly for you and there’s no hiccups. Things can pop up so just be prepared and if something does, try...

blaster idles but bogs down no powerband

This question has been asked about a thousand times on here, all of the information that you need is on this forum. Start by of course checking and cleaning the carb and setting float height. Then proceed to do a leak down test and compression test. After all of this checks out then proceed to...

    First Blaster 1990

I agree with that 100% every dirt bike guy around here does seem to take care of them pretty decently. Quads are a whole other situation though, every one I get in here seems beat to nothing then they act surprised when I tell them it needs more then they thought it needed.

    First Blaster 1990

Oh he’s going to need new swinger bearings and seals, there’s no doubt about that. If it’s to the point to where he mushroomed the bolt hitting it with a hammer then there rusted together. I have seen this same thing hundreds of times and every single one needed them replaced. To be honest I’ve...

    First Blaster 1990

It can be upsetting at times but don’t let it get to you. For the swingarm, remove the forward and bottom engine mount bolts, make sure to support the engine from underneath. Since you destroyed the swinger bolt you will need to get a new one and or used one from fleebay. Take an angle grinder...

Broken oil level sight glass. How much oil?

I stick to the service manual only, I don’t even use the sight glass to be honest because the sight glass is only good if the ground is level. 650ml of atf type f is all I have ever run.

Here’s a pic I found on what you need to line up.

    Disaster blaster fix

That small little point on the side of the lever is not what needs to line up. It’s the very tip/end of the lever itself that lines up with the cases.

You will have a friction then steel then will come the thinner friction with the spring laying within that.

    Disaster blaster fix

Hard to tell from the pictures but the arrow on the tip of the arm is what’s suppose to line up with the notch/arrow on the case. You do have to install the clutch’s and springs in order to set the preload correctly.

Looking great bud, your almost there. That clutch basket looks killer in there. Oh, and don’t forget to bend those locking tabs on the clutch washer.

If you do or do not have tors is not a concern when picking the correct carburetor. A tors elimination cap fits standard carb so seeing that you do not have tors then I assume that you will have a tors elimination cap. A factory carb is your best option and the least expensive one as well. Now...

Nope, he had no clue they were fakes. Actually it’s pretty funny because his father is a big time farmer and he races bikes for fun on the side, his father has owned nothing but Honda and swears there the most reliable bikes ever made, well at least that was until they purchased that crf250r...

Precisely, I know he learned his lesson the hard way on the crf, he had a $2800 bill for a two dollar plug. Then again he has quite a bit of money but still it’s gotta hurt.

    Disaster blaster fix

The ball joints are supposed to move smoothly but should take slight pressure to move them. You never want the joint to just bounce around in it’s socket. In my opinion a stiffer joint is better then a loose joint all day everyday day. If the joint has some corrosion and the joint is not fluid...

    Amazon carb

Exactly, they don’t care who they hurt in the process. The last thing they have going on in there heads is someone bolting them up and blowing there engine. It’s all about money to them and they know just how many poor innocent people out there will actually fall for these copies because of...
