well i just picked up a RM500 motor for $100 and i got 2 fmf head pipes and a fmf silencer and pro circuit silencer i have an extra frame so ill be fitting the motor in that if any body has tips or have done this swap help me out i think its a 1989 motor its air cooled so its time to get started

ok i replaced what i guess is the cdi magneto becuase i wasnt getting any spark and yes i did check it with an ohm meter first to make sure that was my problem so now it will start but will not rev up is it possible that i might have the magneto wired backwards it ran fine before it lost spark...
