  • How big around is the inlet of the exhaust pipe and how big around is the belly? Exhaust port should reflect this, intake ports will match up to the exhaust in width/ timings.

1 trick to get more torque from th get to is to mod the clutches. The yt uses metal balls as weights. The more weight, the sooner it engages. I removed all but 6. I start rolling right before my pipe kicks in. I tried 4 but just spun tires everywhere I went. You can always ease onto the throttle, I don't lol.

Powerful engine that engages the clutch as it gets on the pipe is nice, feels like more torque and power from the get go.
Sorry, I was on ebay for 3 weeks straight it seems. I have a coffman pipe for the YT. the pipe was tuned for a 30 mm carb. Thats what I got for it, a d-slide OKO.

I just took the engine top end apart last nite and I see a Very new ART piston kit/ made in japan, wiseco's japanese competition I think..... Its nice anyway.
Do you have the high comp heads from it175 yet? Im just buying some now. Ask me if you want 2 know anything about them.
Looks like I need your help porting my cylinder. I can't be bothered to learn everything there is to know about porting right now, Way to busey! and im in school allready right so, I need ur 2 cents on some stuff.
I won't waste your time, I saw the engine and just a few pointers will do it.
Im tired now, i will msg you tmrw with something specific, Thanks RB
Removing the pump won't change the crank case volume. The best way to fix that issue is a new pipe. Hard to find. The next solution would be to port the engine - decrease the blow down. If it's a stock cylinder, raise the transfer ports to 120 degrees and widen the 2 small ports. Widen the exhaust but leave it nice and round.

Do you have the stock pipe?
I am wondering about increaseing the crankcase volume on my yt175. My thought is to remove the oil pump, and the whole gear that drives it. thus increasing the Crankcase volume.
Looking at the large cap overthe oil pump, I thought maybe it was a way of making the motor less pipey and still have low end power.? You know more than me, but yami has lots of tricks up its sleave with this 66by50 it seems.
