Hello first time posting and new to the form. Figured I join considering I just bought a beat up 2000 Blaster and will need all the advice I can get.
Anyway I drained the oil from the case and fuel poured out!
Any ideas how this would happen?

How do you know that it was fuel? Smell ?

Several things would have to happen (all at the same time) for enough fuel to make it into the trans. The float would have to stick with the fuel on. The crank seal would have to be leaking for the fuel to make it from the crank area to the transmission.

Smell and viscosity, color as well. If I known what was going to come out I would have taken a picture or not have bought this ATV in the first place

That hose was connected to the carb. It didn't seem to be correct
I can’t see well enough, you talking case vent hose right next to the intake ?? If so depending on exactly where on carb it could get some other places maybe a lot, such as overflow. Jumps and bumps over time could splash a lot eventually. That reply was easier than the first

If new to you, should do a leak down test
I started taking it apart already, they used insta gasket so I figured I would replace all the upper gaskets. I heard about a leak down after the fact. I found the manual PDF on here which has really helped.

I started a rebuild thread if you are interested. Yeah I didn't like the RVT but I got the bike cheap.

I use this for the base gasket

Intake/reed gasket and sealing cases

And this for things that I might take apart and don’t want to ruin the gasket. Such as clutch cover.
Been using this for 50+ years
