rear shock questions

I have a 250r rear showa shock, and i think it needs a rebuild/revalve for my weight (225).

when i sit on the blaster it sinks about 4-6" in the rear, is this normal? It still has shock travel but it does not. Under hard acceleration the rear sinks alot more and the front tires almost come off the ground. I have adjusted the rebound to its hardest setting on the shock.

This is my first atv without the stiff stock shocks so im not sure how much to expect the bike to sink but with the stock blaster shocks it did not move at all.

Are you confusing rebound with preload ?? Rebound refers to the rate/speed the spring pushes the shock back to full length.
Have you tried cranking the spring tighter?
How does it actually ride ? Are you bottoming out? Is it pogoing?
