Anyone know if a Hot Rods crank can be rebuilt using a Vito's kit? A local shop will rebuild my Hot Rods crank for $80, and I can grab the Vito's rebuild kit for $40, vs $90 for the Hot Rods kit. Only difference is the Hot Rods kit comes with the rod as well, and the Vito's kit comes with the pins, bearings and seals. If it can't be done, I have 2hrs to pull the trigger on a new Vito's crank for $165. Guy says he seated it in his case and found that the case was too damaged to use.

Does anyone know? I just need to figure out if the pins, bearings, ect are the same size and interchangeable. If not I have 20 minutes left to be able to get the new Vitos crank.

I decided against the Vito's crank. The seller said that there may be nicks and scuffs from setting around and going in/out of his case. After getting screwed on a "good" bottom end, I wasn't taking the chance on one or both the journal's being damaged. Still need to know about the rebuild kit though.
