Help... no spark

So i have been rebuilding my Blaster, and i had it running, first kick and it started... until one day when i was running it, breaking it in i realized that i forgot the cap lock screw on the cap of the carb... So while in neutral it went into a full rev, i pulled the key and hit the kill switch and the motor kept running for 20 seconds or so full pinned, just revving. I have looked it over after, and there was no spark, so i bought a new stator, no spark, i replaced the ignition coil, no spark. I am not too sure what it could be so if anyone could help that would be greatly appreciated
 
Check the kill switch(s) first. Just unplug.
Check spark plug cap with ohm meter. They do go bad.
New spark plug?
Pulse coil. In stator area.check coil and wires.unpluged or bad ground
There is probably something on the forum with the test procedures and values if you don't have a manual

So I just unplug the key wires, and if that doesnt work then unplug the kill switch wires and that could allow it to start?

And i do have a new spark plug cap and coil.
 
One thing that you need to do is figure out WHY it free revved !! Was it because of the loose carb cap ?
You said “rebuilding “ do you mean the engine? If so, did you do a leak down test? Heat cycles and retorque ?

so the reason that it revved is because i didn't have the bolt in that keeps the carb cap on and it became loose, causing the needle to stay wide open

The fact that the engine kept revving after you killed the ignition is because it was running VERY lean at full throttle causing the spark plug to become a "Glow-plug"! There is multiple issues going on here. What's the status update?

Currently i have tried everything, i changed the carb, cleaned both of them and tried them, i have taken off the crank case over to expose the clutch basket and stuff like that, and started looking at the gears, everything looked good except one of the woodruff keys had a chunk of it taken out. That could be why i have some damage to the head which i will attached an image of. yet i still have strong compression, enough where the bike will kick over sometimes and idle. so i replaced the key, and put the cover back on still nothing. I have replaced the stator and the ignition coil, which is giving me great spark, yet the bike still doesn't turn over very often, and when it does and i push in the throttle it just bogs and dies on me. very very frustrating at this point as i dont know what else to do

I can also try to get it to start again and get a video of what im talking about if you would like me to
 
Well it looks like you broke a ring or you damaged the lower rod bearing. Those marks in the head are from the piece of either one bouncing around in there. DO NOT continue to try to run the engine until its completely inspected throughout. The head will need to be Re-Machined also. If you don't have someone to do the work for you then you can send it to my shop. At this point there is damage that needs to be addressed on top of what actually happened in the first place.
