hi need some advice, just had motor built by local engine builder and having some issues. Motor starts up and runs and revs up ok. When I put in gear and start moving it is making a whining sound. It stops after I pull in the clutch. Dosent seem to have much power either. Could the clutch be out of adjustment and be what’s making noise? Any help would be appreciated I just joined the forum.

Are you capable of doing something of the work yourself? Start by making sure there's enough oil in it. Either buy a Flyers Repair Manual or find the PDF down load . If you pull the clutch cover you'll likely find the problem is with the clutch.
