If it's got the plug on the bottom of the bowl. You don't have to remove carb to change main jets

Try it. Jetting starts from the bottom up.If it's got the plug on the bottom of the bowl. You don't have to remove carb to change main jets.
Start with float height. Set correctly

Alot of people run the dgh needle.
Go to jetsrus web site
Look up the needle chart for your carb.
There is a ton of different needles but it will give you an idea of where your needle lies.
It will make it easier to understand

Okay, wouldnt I need to take carb off bike to set float height? I'm going to buy a few extra jets today and play around with it some, see what I come up with, its 50 degrees out today

Good start. You may even need alittle smaller on the main jet? But only plug chops and when it pulls your arms straight. Will tell what you need
There is alot of power to be gained or lost in tuning on these

I swapped out the BEN needle for the DGH, started with the 165 main , 48 pilot and go from there, also I need to drain and refill the oil, i think i may put a little too much in there to begin with by accident, also picked up 8 BR8ES plugs for plug chops, just need more hours in the day to tune!!
