this thing just blew apart the skirt on the intake side of the piston . My friends and I have had a lot of 2 strokes since childhood so rebuilding it isn't the issue. I prefer klotz but the bottle says DO NOT USE WITH OIL INJECTION SYSTEMS. What do you guys think would be my best move from here?

Delete the oil injection. Run premix you can run a different oil and keep the injection system but I always prefer to remove it.

Make sure to inspect the crank good. A broken skirt often comes with a damaged crank and or cases. The pieces of metal get bound up down there.

I assume since you've said it's a broken skirt you have already pulled the top end. Did you do a leak down test before hand. Wouldn't hurt to get crank seals while you're at it.

Also now would be the time to have that jug ported and the head re chambered. Huge increase for little money. Or no extra money if you have the tools and the know how.

yes there was quite a few pieces of skirt in bottom, complete rebuild with new seals and bearings is the route im taking as im sure it was never done. As much sh*t as im sure im gonna get for saying this im still going to give the oil injector a chance for now just would love to run something other than that yamalube..

The main reason caster isn’t recommended for injector is because it solidifies at about 40*f. I used bean oil in an Arctic Cat powered drag cycle and never had a problem, except the first winter it was stored the frozen oil broke the check valves.
Without seeing the piston we can’t say it was lack of oil, or the piston was just worn out.
Highly recommend boring cylinder for a new piston

She definitely was getting enough lube, my guess is side to side play from a slightly smaller piston maybe? If looks like topend was recently done when i was taking it apart...

Maxima Super M injection formula

save the castor oil for constipation :D
