Was wondering what gear ratio other people use ? I’m not to familiar with the sprockets I’m still a little confused but my blaster has a front 15t and rear 38t could someone give me insight on how it’s geared right now ? I’m looking to buy a new chain and sprockets and don’t know if I should keep what I have or change it up

15/38 is a huge increase from the stock 13/40
higher front and lower rear tooth count both lead to higher top speeds, but loss of quickness getting to that top speed.
I tried 14/40 on my built engine once and found myself constantly changing gears in the trails where before I could
go thru a turn, stay in the same gear and just get back on it with the stock gearing.
on a stock-ish engine I'd stay with 13/40 for trail riding, maybe 14/40 for more open area riding.

I have no experience with those sand tires .
What kind of engine work has been done?
Bigbore?porting? Stock?
That will have some say in gearing also.

The one bike is +3 crank 240 big bore drag Port 41 mm carb no air box
Other bike 28 mm carb plus 4 timing no air box and power pros exhaust

Both blasters have plus 6 swing arms lightweight hubs and one has a j&j drag axle
