Cleaning up my wiring harness on my 99 project today and came to a dumb question. My 99 doesn't have a light/kill switch or a key switch. I know the black white wire goes to the kill switch but without one can i just add it to the grounds? Basically all i need to know is does the switch open or close the circuit, or add the black and white wire to the grounds or leave it open.

Connecting the black/white wire to any black ground wire, or the grounded frame, is what shorts out the ignition and kills the engine.

The switch contacts are closed and making contact between the blk/wht and black ground in the off position, start position opens that connection

So the answer is NO, do not connect that blk/wht to anything.
Separate and tape it off so it doesn't make contact with anything.
