Clean your stock carb. Not much goes bad in the carb except float needle and seat. And float if it gets a hole in it. Everything else gets cleaned and reused.the cheap carbs on ebay are junk.the price is tempting but you will regret it. Why do you say yours is giving out?

I too am looking for a new carberator. Have spent so.r days looking at all of my options. Lots of cheap carbs on e bay. But hoping to get OEM carb. I live in Spokane wash. Anybody out thier have a carb for sale. I'm running stock head with alien exhaust. If not any ideas which carb will work for me. I have $

the stock carbs work realy well on your setup. What are you running now for a carb?

I just bought a gently used 26m stock carb. But now my quad won't start.
I would. Pull float bowl and clean it.pilot jet could be pluged up.blow thru all holes.make sure you can see daylight thru jets. Float stuck in up position? Check and record your jet sizes.needle position should be in the middle Grove

Thank you for your helpful advice. . I cleaned the carb again. Found some crap in the piolet jet. Now she starts and idles well. .
But when I put it in gear the motor has no power. No getty up. I can shift gears and run 1/ 4 throttle.
This Quaid is sick. . Help
Is it possible that there mor cleaning to do.

Did you clean hole carb? Make sure main jet is clean and. The rest of carb .need. To blow thru all holes in carb. It needs to be spotless.

sounds like a TORS issue to me, is it still present and working ? did you plug it back in ?
just delete it, unplug the 3 wire black control box under the hood, mounted right above the CDI

the DIY shows unplugging everything, but once the "brain" is unplugged, the rest of the plugs don't matter, as they're not being monitored.

I am currently trying to find a good option for my 96 blaster. The top is stripped so can’t screw it on anymore. I purchased it like this. It had an aftermarket carb that looks do be from eBay and only about $$25 so I need a better one. Don’t know what to get or where to get it. Any help??

I was looking for weeks and they were just too much money. This is a budget project and don’t wanna spend 300 on each component. I ended up getting one from Amazon for $45 and I threw it on today. Started up first kick. I think I need a different jet in it but it runs and drives. First time I ever rode it was today so that was fun. Until the clutch exploded. Lol. So off to find a replacement

Keep an eye on the jetting.
You don't want to run lean

I’m not very familiar with rebuilding carbs as I’ve only taken one apart and never had it work again. Lol. I was thinking of attempting to take the jet out of the stock broken carb and installing it in the new one if it is Able to fit in it.

Some main jets may not fit or be the same as the Chinese jets.
You can try though. Just eyeball them to see if they are the same length ect.
I think on some the threads may be different

Look in the engine/carb sub forum or YouTube. Other than cleaning and making sure air blows through ALL passages the ONLY thing that may need replacing is the float needle/seat
