I just put a used, in good condition OEM carb that I bought from a buddy .when i tried to start it. I'm getting nothing. ! Anybody got any good koi ideas. PLEASE

Clean carb.slide in correctly.can here it slap down in carb when throttle is released quickly from full throttle. Clean air filter?
