So my girls blaster was stolen and the guys hotwired it and when I got it back I ordered a new ignition and hooked it up and the bike wouldn’t start so after putting the “hot wires “ back I realized they would connect them to kill the ignition so now when I put the new ignition back on it has to be set to off to start , what do these son of a bitches do!!??

The key and kill switches for blasters both just connect the black/white stripe wire to a black ground wire, shorting out the CDI, to kill the engine.
So connected wires (off) the bike won't start, break the connection (on/run) allows it to start.

If you bought a generic switch, it probably connects the ignition to start it, and breaks it to kill it.
The opposite of what's needed on a blaster.
