I had a DG on my old YFZ450 and my Kawasaki Mojave; they're great if you like noise ONLY. Personally, I think DG should just stick to making bumpers in my opinion.

Exhausts are a funny thing on a two-stroke. I've been a fan of Toomey Pipes ever since I rode my buddy Tim's Banshee with them. They sound great, perform well, and are constructed well, but at a price.

If you just want something quick, just get a Pro-Circuit or FMF silencer. Either one is good.

Now you did it, got me started on exhaust.
Funny little story. Bought a blaster to flip for $325 , ran if you pulled it fast enough
Put a Vito’s pro stock piston in it. Stock pipe. It had the most aussome bottom end for a 2s. But just as you expected the 2s smile to kick In it’d fall on it’s face, no top end power band. Proof that the pipe is designed to prevent over revving.
I’d still like to modify one, just to see what it’d do. Gut the sound deadening out, replace the skinny in the center with straight wall, maybe shorten it.

I was expecting more of a rant :p

Expensive read . don't get no poo on it:rolleyes:
Prices blow me away. There was an online PDF, don’t know if it’s still around. Funny thing is that I bought it the late 70s for about $20. Kept it until it literally fell apart. My friend has Bell’s book. If you understand more than half of Jennings, you might be a genius.
Ive used his formula to build pipes. Laying a cone out on sheet metal is a challenge in itself.
It really helps to understand exactly how much pipe design affects an engine power curve.

I read some of it online awhile back. Have to look around some.
