Nobody has ever proven the oil injection pump has failed, it does use a plastic gear but there's 20 year old blasters still using it.
what may fail is the operator not priming the pump as outlined in the manual after a rollover (I've had plenty of those back in the injection days and never primed it once) or after a prolonged sit with no oil, or a rebuild.

there's probably more of us who have eliminated it and mix though.

don't forget to block off the injection nipple on the carb, and possibly jump up one main jet size .... more oil = less fuel
plug chop to confirm

Thank you awk. I have dumped a lot of money into this and just want a four wheeler to run for quite some time. While it’s completely all apart , continue to do everything now

Grabbed a block off kit. Will do this when it comes. Waiting on a few things anyways so it’ll be worth the wait.

Looking into tors removal now also while the bike is apart. One less thing to worry about. :)

As far as the jets, that’s another subject I’m sure I’ll be reading into once I get the motor back on. As far as I know, everything is currently stock. Thanks for the advice!

Just need to remove all unwanted wiring and tie together black/yellow-black wire together in front by light.

Then, install engine. Woot

Well, I used this page for a lot of my own documentation and questions. Thanks everyone for helping given the name of the thread. I now having a completely rebuilt engine in my blaster. Was offered $400 for it and ripped the motor out the next day and started my first small engine rebuild. This forum and the people on here definitely helped out and also Ken Oconner's videos. Was awesome, started second kick. Lots of trial and errors, but this damn thing sounds great.

New crank, bearings, seals, gaskets, piston, honed/bored cylinder, tors delete kit, clutch basket, clutch plates, oil injection block off, reeds, stator and so much more.

Sealed up tight didn't lose any PSI on leak down test. I'm just happy as all fawk.

Thank you again!

ps. I'm sure i'll have a sh*t load more questions. ty
